self-led tour into Queen Elizabeth Park and Hackney's past. 2013

Take a walk into the new Queen Elizabeth Park and record your surroundings.

Artist Harry Meadows will invite members of the public to set off on a tour of the New Queen Elizabeth Park. Harry will present his a film of a series of panoramic photographs. On the hour, every hour, he will present images taken in 2005 from a coracle  ( a small circular lightweight boat ) sited in the waterways of Hackney Wick, which have now  become part of the Queen Elizabeth park.
Participants will be invited to walk to the locations on the map and record what they see/hear there through photography, drawing, audio recordings of verbal/written descriptions. The resulting info/data will be emailed to Harry to be added to a website cataloguing participant’s contributions.
Please come with something to recorded your tour; pencils and sketch book; audio recorder, camera, note pad or anything else you can think of that will let you record what you experience.

The resulting collection will be a 'Now and Then' archive of the landscape. The collated media will be presented in the form of an interactive website that will enable the user to compare the area before and after the regeneration project.
